We wrote a grant application to the Community Preservation Committee of the Town of Lenox.

No easy way in.

One of 196 towns to adopt the Community Preservation Act, aka "the CPA," Lenox voted this into effect in 2006. This opened a way for those devoted to the stewardship of our many architectural treasures to access much needed funding. The care of these is often costly beyond the means of those few who dedicate themselves to such care.

The work we of the "FLMH" seek to do with CPA funds this year includes improving our steps so they're more navigable.

We had some fun capturing images to prove their difficulty.

Assessing the challenges.

Embarkation.

This top step is 11" high.
No railing means caution is the better part of valor.
